Happy Memorial Weekend

Have a safe and happy holiday. George and I went camping last weekend to beat the crowd. It was a little chilly in the mountains but a nice time. We are looking forward to Annie's Baby shower/ Pirate extravaganza at Leslie's hope to see you there.

Ta Dah!!! Almost forgot...

This has absolutely nothing to do with this seaweed encrusted boat...
Curves update week one
Jodi down 3.75
Me 6.5
Whoo hoo! now we are on phase 2 (as of last Monday)
This means that we get an extra 300 calories making a total of 1500. This goes on for 3 weeks when we move to phase 3 which will be fairly high cal. for the next 2-3 weeks. I guess it's all about the metabolism and switching it up. We are on the Higher Protein plan but we take it a little further and seem to take in fewer carbs but more fat, staying withing the cal. guide lines but we like the flavor of real food as opposed to "lowfat" and it seems to be working. A big thing with this plan is to have 2 snacks each day. It keeps us from getting really hungry.
phase 2:
breakfast 300
snack 200
lunch 400
snack 200
Dinner 400

Will continue to update our progress. PS we weigh in officially at curves so we get an accurate account.

Hmmmm.... it's snack time. Love ya

Sandy's Front Porch

Day three and Jodi and I are still on track. We went to curves this morning and are sticking to our food plans. So far so good. The first week is about 1200 calories but high protein. The next 3 weeks we are up to 1500 then eat regular for the next 2-3 weeks. (all higher protein) I'll let you know how we've done after next monday... The theory is that you keep mixing it up calorie wise to keep your metabolism from slowing down. Of Course the curves thing and the cardio we do at home -me on elyptical, Jodi on tredmill contributes to the effect...

Three Pears

Playing around again. I took one lonely pear, turned it into three and then added a reflection. I tried to make each one a little different.
Jodi and I went to curves this morning it went well. We are excited, committed and on the move. We are both doing their high protein plan. Its a little less fat then I've been having but sounds like a healthy options. We will keep you posted.

Monday... back on program

After a Long hiatus I am getting back in tne groove. Jodi and I are headed to curves this morning. It's been a year since I stopped. I am looking forward to getting back on track. So it will be M-W-F workouts and the elyptical M-S. I think. That's the plan anyway. Back onto the lowcarb wagon as well. Only 20 gms carbs for 1st 2 weeks then increase to 40-60 after that. I'll keep you posted. Baby shower for Annie on June 6th at Leslie's house.

Okay so now I am officially Furloughed

Now I need to get creative. I will be getting unemployment while I look for work but things around here aren't really booming so I am trying to come up with a plan.
