Getting ready for the New Year

Out with the old and in with the new. Been there done that ready for a fresh start. It's been a busy year with lots of changes for everybody. New babies, new pups, and even a few new recipes. Hope you all had a merry Christmas. I'm off to make up a resolution or two.

One of "the guys"

This is one of the "bachelors" in the finch cage here at Perdueville. He hangs out with "Arrow" while "Amelia" and "Pretty boy" make a cozy couple. There seems to be a competition to see who can build the best nest. The boys try real hard. I think they are trying to impress Amelia. Alas I think she's quite happy with Pretty boy.

Okay. Made it through the week. Christmas is definately coming. Hope you are all having a "blissful" preparation time for all the festivities ahead. I'm looking forward to the new year and the new and improved me that will instantly take over the old worn out me. It will be marvelous... trust me.

A Project for a photography forum

Okay, so I had to come with a photo that would be Holiday"ish" and represent me a little bit. I took the photo of the star out on our patio and put it into photoshop, added the greeting, and then took the photo. Ahh too much fun. Not getting much else done though. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

Christmas is coming... OH NO!!!

It's Wednesday the 16th... that means that Christmas is almost upon us. To tell you the truth I''ve been a little preoccupied with weather, layoff, Family health stuff and who knows what else. Today I think I shall begin to at least think about what I'm doing regarding this Holiday season. Maybe I'm just getting older. Little one's no longer dance around me chanting their "wants" list.
So here we go! Fresh start and all. (sound of clinking eggnog cups raised high)

Good morning...

Let's try this again. I am going to work today, hopefully. I've enjoyed the time off but I'm getting a little to comfortable staying at home. After the Crash

It's Monday morning and there is just enough snow on the ground to keep me from working. Yesterday my laptop decided to bluescreen me and crash. I was able to save some stuff while in safe mode but had to completely reboot to get everything up and going. I am diligently re-installing the most important programs all of which seem to take a very long time. I had to search my stash to find a photo to put up... will work on finding something a little more seasonal. Back on track foodwise and soing really well although it's only 9:30 in the morning. A nice piece of sprouted grain bread (thanks Ferol), an egg and a small bowl of raisen bran (no sugar). The finches are singing in the background and the "spouse" is settling in to a good book.

My short term goals for today:

Set up laptop

Organize photo workflow

Eat healthy good for me food

Prepare myself for returning to work tommorrow (off a week weather related)

Take care and be inspiring
