Sister Sandy "The Wench"
Here's Sister Sandy in her pirate's wench costume. Didn't work today because of the weather so I'm sitting at the computer. Lena if your checking I'm working on the second fingerless mitt. I'll have it to you before spring I promise.

Love these vintage trailers

Good morning...
Let's try this again. I am going to work today, hopefully. I've enjoyed the time off but I'm getting a little to comfortable staying at home. This picture is of some of the "fly girl's" vintage trailers. They are a bunch of gals really into flyfishing and they all tow around customized old trailers. Love it. There are more like these at
What do you say girl's? Looks like fun. I'm gonna keep my eye out for an oldie to restore.

After the Crash

It's Monday morning and there is just enough snow on the ground to keep me from working. Yesterday my laptop decided to bluescreen me and crash. I was able to save some stuff while in safe mode but had to completely reboot to get everything up and going. I am diligently re-installing the most important programs all of which seem to take a very long time. I had to search my stash to find a photo to put up... will work on finding something a little more seasonal. Back on track foodwise and soing really well although it's only 9:30 in the morning. A nice piece of sprouted grain bread (thanks Ferol), an egg and a small bowl of raisen bran (no sugar). The finches are singing in the background and the "spouse" is settling in to a good book.
My short term goals for today:
Set up laptop
Organize photo workflow
Eat healthy good for me food
Prepare myself for returning to work tommorrow (off a week weather related)
Take care and be inspiring

Sweet Peas

Back on the proverbial lowcarb stick. it's always a little tough to get going but I fell so much better when living it. Trying to dust myself off and just carry on if I go sideways. Also back at curves. Happy Thursday!

The Apartment

I started work today, and it felt good to be back although semi-retired was a nice gig for awhile. George potted up some geraniums and herbs for me on the patio. Hopefully they will get enough sun. As you can see in the pictures the apt. is looking a little sparse though I think it makes it look bigger. The bathroom is huge though so makes it feel luxurious. I am having fun and will get back on the stick in the weeks ahead.

Curves update week one
Jodi down 3.75
Me 6.5
Whoo hoo! now we are on phase 2 (as of last Monday)
This means that we get an extra 300 calories making a total of 1500. This goes on for 3 weeks when we move to phase 3 which will be fairly high cal. for the next 2-3 weeks. I guess it's all about the metabolism and switching it up. We are on the Higher Protein plan but we take it a little further and seem to take in fewer carbs but more fat, staying withing the cal. guide lines but we like the flavor of real food as opposed to "lowfat" and it seems to be working. A big thing with this plan is to have 2 snacks each day. It keeps us from getting really hungry.
phase 2:
breakfast 300
snack 200
lunch 400
snack 200
Dinner 400
Will continue to update our progress. PS we weigh in officially at curves so we get an accurate account.
Hmmmm.... it's snack time. Love ya
